Substituting curator and more - Pro Artibus foundation, Helsinki, Raasepori and Turku

2009 - 2014

During mid-October to mid-December 2014 and the summer of 2013 I substituted the curator and project manager of the Sinne gallery in Helsinki. In the gallery I worked with the artists, writing texts and building exhibitions, I updated the website, sent invitations and press releases, and organised events.

From January 2013 until September 2015 I was the regional manager of Helsinki for the open studio event Konstrundan, where I was responsible for the artist collaboration, informing the artists about Konstrundan and making sure they get their marketing materials in time, as well as organising the Art Friday event.

In 2011 I coordinated the project The Art of Curating, during the Turku 2011 European Capital of Culture. I organised the studia generalia series, updated the website and managed the guards and guides for the exhibition Close Your Eyes and Tell Me What You See.

Before that I was an intern at the foundation's office in Tammisaari during the summer of 2010, and a guard and exhibition guide in the exhibition Synligt-Osynligt when it was on display in Turku.

 

Museum Assistant - Fiskars Museum, Raasepori

My main task was to organise the collection, cataloging new objects and updating the information on old objects, as well as re-organising the collection storage. Occationally I took part in the public program, offering time travel events for children and guided tours in English, Finnish and Swedish.

 

Guide and Exhibition guard - Ekenäs Museum Centre, Raasepori

There was a valuable exhibition with the works of Helene Schjerfbeck on display in the museum this summer. I was a guard and offered guided tours in English, Finnish and Swedish.

 

Guide - The Wäinö Aaltonen Museum, Turku

12.2 - 24.5.2009

I was a guide during Eero Hiironen's jubilee exhibition, where I offered guided tours in Finnish and Swedish. I also participated in organising children's events.
